FAFSA

To All Seniors and Senior Parents:

Do you have questions regarding the FAFSA?  Do you need help completing the application?   Do you need to complete this application in order to received federal funds?

If you answered yes to any of the questions above, then the place to be is the cafeteria on Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 6p for the FAFSA Workshop.

Some key tips:

  • Families may be able to access the IRS Data retrieval tool, but just in case bring copies of your 2020 tax return and W-2's for both the student (if they filed) and the parent(s) that will be putting information on the FAFSA application
  • Students and Parents will need to know their social security numbers, possible assets such as cash, savings, checking, etc.  If the parent isn't coming with the student, the student will need to know the parental information such as SSN, date of birth, marital status and dates.  If parents are unable to attend, but can be available by phone that would be helpful.
  • Students and Parents will both need a FSA ID.  If these can be setup prior to workshop it would be beneficial.  Please refer to the Remind text sent by Mrs. Merrill-Riffe yesterday.
  • Students should plan to bring their Chromebooks for easy access to the WiFi.

For more information on how to create a FSA ID, go to creating a FSA ID.

Once you have completed your FSA ID you will be able to begin filling out your FAFSA at fafsa.gov
